PA passes Budget, Finance Bill 2022

Punjab Assembly has passed the annual budget for the fiscal year 2022-23 and the Finance Bill on Wednesday. The budget and the bill were approved by the House in its session held here at Aiwan-e-Iqbal in Lahore.

Provincial Finance Minister Sardar Awais Khan Leghari tabled the Demands of Grants total worth Rs2.71 trillion in the House. The Punjab Assembly budget session approved a total of 40 Demands of Grants of Rs27,11,67,23,26,000.

The House approved the budget allocation of Rs1,49,01,89,78,000 for law and order and the police department.

Rs81,50,62,52,000 has been allocated for the education sector, Rs1,83,64,00,00,000 for health department and Rs20,04,42,00,000 for agriculture sector.
