ISLAMABAD – Missing slippers or shoes are no big thing for Pakistani but a recent incident at Parliament House mosque baffled everyone.
It has been learnt that over a dozen shoes gone missing from the Parliament House mosque during Friday prayers.
After congregational Jumma prayers at the mosque, several worshippers including some journalists were unable to find their shoes.
The rare theft prompted authorities to look into CCTV footage to identify the culprits, who allegedly took over a dozen shoes.
National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq ordered a probe into the security officials’ negligence in safeguarding the worshipper’s shoes at the Parliament House mosque. The Joint Secretary for Admin and Sergeant at Arms will lead the investigation.
