More than 5,792 units including shops, Markets, Bus stands, Transport Vehicles, Restaurants, Wedding Halls, Petrol Pumps and Schools have been inspected in last three days for enforcement of standing operating procedures of COVID-19 in all the eight districts of Hazara Division. “More than 481 units were sealed and Fine of Rs. 445,400 has been imposed for violation of SoPs. All the Deputy Commissioners have been instructed for strict compliance of SoPs in all the offices, schools, restaurants, addas, wedding halls and other public places”.
This was disclosed by Commissioner Hazara Division Riaz Khan Mehsud while briefing to journalists about the actions taken by the administration related to Corona the virus in Hazara to here on Thursday. He told that working is underway for getting inputs from the District Health Officers for going for antigen testing, instead of PCR testing, being cheaper and easily managed at all Government Hospitals. Providing detail of District wise actions , Commissioner Hazara told that 1477 shops, 46 markets, 33 addas, 1639 transport vehicles, 99 individuals of public,49 restaurants, 29 wedding halls and 35 petrol pumps were inspected in Abbottabad district to check the violations of SoPs of Covid-19. Out of these 3407 inspections, 731 were warned, 670 fined and 21 were sealed while a fine of Rs.173,340/- were imposed.
He further told that about 100 smart lockdowns were implemented in Abbottabad which include 61 educational institutions, three commercial buildings, six hotels & restaurants and 30 rural & urban residences. In Mansehra all the restaurants of high profile areas have been inspected in two phases and a total of 362 units were checked.Assistant Commissioner Mansehra carried out an inspection of several restaurants situated at Upper Chennai and KKH road, Mansehra. During the course of the inspection, violators were penalized on account of non-implementation of SOPs, overpricing, non-availability of prices list etc, and warnings were also issued to remain careful in future. Similarly Assistant Commissioner Oghi carried out an inspection of several Restaurants of Tehsil Oghi and Darband.
