More than 500 saplings have been planted along Kashmir Highway on September 3, 2019 under the 2nd Clean and Green Pakistan and say not to plastic bags campaign launched by Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE). QEC at PIDE took the initiative and launch the campaign like last year.
Mr. Muhammad Hamza Shafqat, Deputy commissioner, ICT, grace the occasion as a chief guest and planted a tree. In his remarks he said that in this noble cause everyone should contribute and specially academia and students should be mobilized for achving the green and clean Pakistan vision.
Dr. Fazal Hussain, Vice Chancellor PIDE, Dr. Attiya Yasmeen, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, faculty and senior staff members planted saplings along with students and displayed civic responsibility and community and fellow feeling.
