Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar on Sunday met provincial leaders in Lahore and discussed political and government matters.
During the meeting, the governor said that opposition parties’ dream of midterm elections in Pakistan will never be fulfilled. He also said that stopping authorities from transparent and fair accountability is not in the favor of national interest.
Earlier, the governor said that Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain is a politician with positive mindset and would not end his alliance with the government.
The government negotiating team is also in contact with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) to remove their reservations, he told.
The governor further expressed that the govt will complete its constitutional period by working with its allies.
Three ministers including Provincial Law Minister Raja Basharat called on Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar. On this occasion, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that opposition is not united and fall to discrepancies. People do not have trust in the opposition and the opposition parties do not believe in each other.
We know the opposition is fighting mere for their skin-saving. Obstructing transparent and indiscriminate accountability for even a single minute will not be in country’s interest.
A candid policy is being formulated to do away with problems like price-hike. Federal and Punjab governments are taking practical steps for public welfare.
According to details, political situation in Punjab, government affairs and other issues were discussed in the meeting between Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and Provincial Law Minister Raja Muhammad Basharat, Provincial Labour Minister Ansar Majeed Khan Niazi and Provincial Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Tourism Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti here at Governor House.Speaking on this occasion, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the opposition do make plans as much it can against the government, they will not succeed on their agenda come what may.
Today, people are well aware of the fact that opposition is fighting mere for their skin-saving and have nothing to do with people’s problems.
