Governor Punjab Ch Mohammad Sarwar has said that toppling government is a dream of opposition which will never turn into reality.The vote of no confidence against Chairman Senate through secret balloting , will be in favor of Sadiq Sanjrani and opposition will only get disappointment. He said, no opposition leaders was unfairly victimized and IG Jail has cleared that Air Conditioning has not been removed from Nawaz Shareef room.
Elaborating further he said that accountability is the responsibility of relevant departments and we are standing in support with departments, the war to eradicate corruption from the country will not be compromised under any given circumstances. The nation gave us mandate for five years and after that, we will appear in front of the court of the general public and whatever their votes will decide we will acknowledge.
Through “Hepatitis Outreach Program” until 30th of June 2020, 0.1 million people will be screened of hepatitis in all cities across Punjab including Lahore and those who will test positive will be provided will free treatment and medicine. Hepatitis is spreading across Pakistan very rapidly and we will have to fight against it collectively.
He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of “Hepatitis outreach” program for Hepatitis screening and treatment initiated by “Sarwar Foundation” in collaboration with “Jinnah Hospital”, “Shiekh Ijaz Trust” and the University of Lahore and later adressing media at venue.
At the occasion Wife of Governor Punjab Begum Parveen Sarwar, Chairman Shiekh Ijaz Trust and renowned Businessmen Gohar Ijaz, Chairman University of Lahore M A Rauf, Farzana Rauf, Doctor Arif Tajamul and Doctor Fauzia Asghar were also present at the occasion.Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar mentioned that the nation gave mandate to government for 5 years and opposition can do whatever in their capacity, this government will go on to complete its constitutional term and general elections will take place on their time. We are not victimizing anyone including PMLN, courts and institutions are totally independent, everyone including opposition should respect whatever courts decide.
Speaking at the ceremony Governor Punjab mentioned that unfortunately 20 percent of people in Punjab are suffering from Hepatitis and this is a big challenge for everyone including the government, 80% people are getting infected of this disease because of contaminated drinking water.
Considering these stats Government of Punjab has established AAB PAK Authority which will provide clean drinking water to a number of districts and villages across Punjab over a period of 5 years.
