Special Assistant to Chief Minister and Spokesperson of Punjab Government Hasaan Khawar has said that opposition is unable to digest the benefits of ongoing development schemes, composite development in the province and the performance of CM Punjab.
Addressing a press conference on the current political situation at Al-Hamra here on Friday, he said that the incumbent government has left the previous government far behind by laying the network of development projects in the province. He said that every citizen of Punjab will get benefit from the 400 billion project of Sehat Insaaf Card, in the next two months.
Hasaan Khawar said that the incumbent government by using existing infrastructure has not only upgraded the seven thousand schools but also re-enrolled thousands of students besides introducing e-transfer policy for the convenience of teachers.
He said that after 70 years, Buzdar government initiated work on small dams and canals. Relief and assistance are being provided to cultivators and labours through Kisan Card and Mazdoor Card. In the past, the concept of minimum wage was limited to files. The government is promoting private investment by initiating commercial activities on unused properties, he added.
The SACM said that budget of Southern Punjab has been ring-fenced and people of the area has been given their due rights by setting up Southern Punjab Secretariat. District Development Package of Rs. 360 billion, is ensuing composite development of the districts according to their needs, he maintained.
He said that Hamza Shahbaz failed to compare the performance of the present government with the former regimes and started levelling allegations of transfer posting which was the favourite hobby of his father. He further said that the standard of transfer posting of Buzdar government is service delivery.
Hasaan Khawar said that Hamza Shahbaz is misleading the young generation by hiding the corruption of his family. He said that during the period of the Sharif government the cost of construction road was Rs. 37 crore per km but the present government has minimized the same expenditure to Rs. 17 crore per km. he further disclosed that 64 buses were purchased in Rs 13 billion in 2013 today the cost of the same number of buses is Rs 10 billion.
Referring to the Orange Line Metro Train, he said the government is bearing a subsidy of Rs. three crore on daily basis. The previous government started so many such projects only to fail the coming governments but the vision and strategy of PM Imran Khan, government revenue, exports, and remittances have been substantially increased and this was acknowledged by international magazines as well as governments.
The Punjab Government Spokesperson further stated that the time has come to take difficult economic decisions and put the country in the right direction.
He also questioned on the 400 billion agri-package of the Sharif government which destroyed the agri sector of the country.
. Today, wheat production in the country has been increasing by 8%. Similarly, rice and sugarcane produce have been increased by 13% and 22% respectively.
He said that the former rulers left the revenue of Rs 3800 billion only in the national exchequer which has now reached Rs 6000 billion and foreign exchange reserves have also been tripled, he added. He further maintained that the real problem of those who are soaked in corruption is why they have been held accountable.
