Making it clear to the secretary National Assembly that he was not the servant of an individual but of the state, the opposition leaders on Friday asked him to convene the assembly’s session at the earliest so that voting on the no-trust motion could be held and the fate of the present government could be decided.
The opposition leaders, who met with the secretary in the NA building, inquired from him as to when the assembly’s session was being convened. He replied that he was waiting for instructions from the speaker. The leaders said that this was not a genuine excuse.
