OPC resolved over 5,100 expats’ complaints in 18 months


Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Vice Chairperson Ch Waseem Akhtar has said that OPC has resolved over 5100 complaints since PTI-led government came into power whereas the number of complaints resolved since 2014 was 5300 only.
The resolved rate of the complaints was 37pc when I took the charge which has gone to 57pc now. Out of 18500 complaints, 10600 complaints have been resolved retrieving the property worth Rs 7 Billion due to the team effort of OPC’s officers and staff, he shared these facts while talking to delegation of Overseas Pakistanis from UK in his office today.
People living abroad have great admiration for Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan and this is the reason why Foreign Direct Investment and Remittance have increased which is an ample example of the faith that overseas Pakistanis have in Prime Minister’s leadership.
Right from the beginning of PTI-led government, Overseas Pakistanis were main focus of the government policies. A large number of Pakistanis living abroad belong to Punjab and Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Ahmad Buzdar has taken concrete steps to give relief to Pakistani expatriates. The marvelous work done by OPC has been lauded by Pakistani community living abroad, he added.
The performance of OPC is result of teamwork done by OPC officers and staff. Overseas Pakistanis must invest in Pakistan and contribute towards the strengthening of economy like they always have. The delegation also appreciated the efforts of OPC and hoped that the great work done to give relief to overseas Pakistanis will continue in the future as well.
