Overseas Pakistanis Commission Vice-Chairperson Waseem Akhtar presided over official meeting to review the weekly progress here in GOR I. The meeting was attended by Overseas Pakistanis Commission Commissioner Passand Khan Buledi, Director General Naila Baqir, Director (Revenue), Director (Legal) and other Deputy Directors of OPC. Commissioner OPC gave a detailed briefing to the chair regarding progress made in resolving complaints.
As per OPC Portal, 18329 complaints have been received so far, out of which 10345 complaints have been resolved which makes the resolved rate 57%. Moreover, Commission has resolved over 250 complaints of different nature within one month involving amount of Rs. 59 crores retrieving 50 Acre land from illegal possession, he briefed. Rights of Overseas Pakistanis will be protected and illegal possession of their lands bought by their hard-earned money shall not be tolerated.
Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Pakistan Imran, PTI is the only political party to cater to the needs of Overseas Pakistanis as topmost priority, he said. Let us not forget that the purpose of the establishment of Overseas Pakistanis Commission was to give relief to Overseas Pakistanis so they can invest in their country without any fear, Commissioner OPC said. Overseas Pakistanis are an asset to this nation who play a pivotal role in the economy of the country, he further said. Vice Chairperson Waseem Akhtar instructed the dealing officers to personally contact the complainants and monitor the complaints’ redressal progress.
