Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Friday asserted that no negligence will be tolerated in the resolution of public problems as those failing to deliver have no right to stay on their posts.
“Only best performers will be encouraged while strict action will be taken against those showing negligence in the resolution of public problems.”
The chief minister declared that officers will have to go out in field to improve service delivery as one is unable to garner facts or understand the public problems while sitting in the office.
“I have resumed surprise visits to different areas to resolve public problems on the spot,” he pointed out, adding that he have inspected various government departments during a surprise visit to Sambrial and Sialkot yesterday.
During this inspection, I heard public complaints and 15 officers were removed from their posts upon showing negligence.
Action will be initiated if any laxity is observed and only those officers will stay in Punjab who will serve the masses, declared the CM.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar revealed that the government has decided on setting up of a foreign investment desk at the chief minister’s secretariat to boost foreign direct investment in the province.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar was talking to a delegation of Taavun Group which called on him on Friday.
On the occasion, the CM disclosed that scope of foreign direct investment will also be extended to other sectors while fully encouraging FDIs in remote and south Punjab areas.
He assured to give full protection to the investment opportunities, adding that a conducive atmosphere is provided to the investors.
The government has encouraged a business-friendly environment and the best opportunities are provided to the businessmen, the CM affirmed.
The Central Business District will turn out to be an economic game-changer initiative; the CM asserted and hoped that Mubarak Centre will encourage trade and economic activities in the provincial capital.
The Chief Secretary, SPU head, secretaries of P&D and finance departments, CEO PBIT and others were also present.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that Pakistan is a peaceful country and Pakistanis are a sports loving nation who has a passion for cricket.
The Punjab government made the best and foolproof security arrangements for New Zealand cricket team. He said that cancellation of New Zealand cricket team tour disappointed the cricket lovers.
International sports including cricket will restore in Pakistan, he added. Cricket matches should be organized in Pakistan and the PTI government will ensure it.
Cricket will never end in Pakistan, the CM concluded.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar sought a report from CCPO Lahore regarding rape of 12 years old girl in Hanjarwal area. The chief minister directed to arrest the accused at the earliest and ensure justice to the affected family.
ON the other hand, CM Usman Buzdar sought a report from Secretary Health regarding the death of six years old child due to alleged negligence of doctor in Rajanpur.
Usman Buzdar directed to hold an inquiry against the responsible and said that negligence in the treatment and looking after of patients in public hospitals will not be tolerated.
