In the aftermath of the May 9th, 2023, tragic events, a section of Pakistani expatriates have launched a propaganda campaign alleging human rights violations by the Pakistani military and the federal government. In the absence of a counter-narrative, the result is the false impression that there are no dissenting voices against this malicious twist of the facts by the former ruling party, which is singularly responsible for the events leading up to and after the tragic day three weeks ago.

To dispel any notion of the ubiquitousness and credence of this impression, NRP will hold a series of online community town halls, the first of which will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, June 4th, 2023. The NRP will emphasize:

1. Expatriates’ unequivocal support of peace and stability in Pakistan

2. Strong objection and protest to the events of May 9, 2023

3. The need to hold those accountable who planned and carried out the assault on state and military properties.—PR
