ISLAMABAD – A citizen was reportedly killed after a vehicle owned by Pakistani rally racer Salma Khan met an accident in the federal capital, it emerged on Tuesday.
Khan has been taking part in the Cholistan desert jeep rally and other racing competitions in the country.
Hails from Lakki Marwat district, she is considered Pakistan’s very own desert racer, who has broken all stereotypes and crossed barriers to become a female racer.

Zia Bajwa, a press relations officer for ICT Police, told Pakistan Observer that an investigation into the matter has been launched.
Some onlookers, according to the police official, claimed that the vehicle was being driven by a woman. Police have detained a man as the probe is underway.
