Secretary Federal Ombudsman Lt Gen Ijaz Ahmed Khan was told on Friday by Incharge Ombudsman Regional Office Karachi Syed Anwar Haider that as many as 14193 cases have been resolved from January to December 2021
It was briefed to the Secretary Federal Ombudsman in a meeting at the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat here.
Anwar Haider said that the Federal Ombudsman offices in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur have been working actively while the proposal has been sent to the Head Office to open offices in Larkana and Mirpurkhas.
Speaking on the occasion, Ijaz Ahmed Khan said that Federal Ombudsman office takes up public grievances on top priority.
Ijaz Ahmed said that the general public should be aware that no matter where the problem occurs, the Federal Ombudsman’s Office resolves their issues within 30 days without any compensation and attorneys.
He said that the shortage of officers and other staff in the regional offices should be met and that there should be 100 percent recruitment on merit, so that the people should not have any problem in providing prompt and free justice.
He appreciated the Federal Ombudsman’s officials for their prompt resolution of the public grievances and assured them of the facilities.
