Provincial Ombudsman Dr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput delivered justice to citizen Akhtar Zeib, who had filed a complaint against the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA). Akhtar Zeib reported that the SBCA’s assistant director had demanded a bribe in exchange for the approval of his house plan and had been continuously delaying the process.
The Ombudsman’s office carried out a detailed investigation, which confirmed that Akhtar Zeib was being unjustly harassed and that his lawful request was being unnecessarily delayed. Following the inquiry, the Provincial Ombudsman validated the citizen’s complaint and issued clear instructions to the SBCA to immediately resolve Akhtar Zeib’s issues and approve his house plan without further obstruction.
Dr. Sohail Rajput, in his ruling, emphasized that no government department has the right to harass citizens and assured that swift justice will be provided in all such cases.
