The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the outputs of the 41st Summit of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) held in Al-Ula, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the decision of the Kingdom to open its airspace and its land and sea borders with the State of Qatar.
The OIC Secretary-General, Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, commended the wisdom of the Kingdom and the major role it played during its hosting of the GCC Summit chaired by HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah preserve them.
The Secretary-General commended highly the major role and sincere efforts exerted for reconciliation. He further praised the efforts of the State of Kuwait and its late Prince, may his soul rest in peace, as well as all sincere efforts exerted in recent years to bridge differences.
Al-Othaimeen stated that this achievement will contribute to the promotion of joint action and will expand Member States’ cooperation and integration in all domains to meet the expectations and achieve the aspirations of GCC citizens and States.—PR
