The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha received on 24 January 2024 at the Organization’s headquarters, a delegation led by Sheikh. Dr. Mahamat KhattirIssa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and President of the Regulatory Body in charge of the Pilgrimage Management (Hajj and Umrah) of the Republic of Chad. The courtesy visit provided an opportunity for the two parties to discuss issues of common interest.
The Secretary-General expressed his gratitude for the visit and stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the two institutions. He also reaffirmed OIC’s commitment to promoting peace and development for the benefit of the Islamic Ummah.
The President of the Islamic Affairs Council expressed his satisfaction at the fruitful discussions he had with the Secretary-General. He also emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two institutions in tackling common challenges.—PR
