OIC dispatches mission to observe Presidential Elections in Republic of Kazakhstan

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) General Secretariat dispatched an Elections Observation Mission to the Republic of Kazakhstan to observe the Presidential Elections, which will be held on 20 November 2022.

The OIC observer mission led by Ambassador Ahmed Sareer, Director of Asian Affairs, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Mr. Nurlan Abdirov and conveyed the greetings of the OIC Secretary-General, H. E. Hissein Brahim Taha and his wishes for the success of the election process. The Mission emphasized the importance that the OIC attaches to elections observation in Member States, based on the relevant provisions of the OIC Charter.—PR
