District Returning Officer DC Hafizabad Madam Sundas Irshad has directed the officers of all concerned departments to finalize necessary arrangements to ensure holding of free, fair and transparent election in the district. She issued these views while addressing the meeting of District Emergency Board Hafizabad. ADCG Hamadullah, District Emergency Officer 1122 Hafizabad Muhammad Adnan Nawaz and other officers of different departments attended the meeting.
She directed the officers of District Council and Municipal Committees to remove all kind of encroachments on the ways of polling stations and ensure cleanliness of roads and streets leading to polling stations before polling day. She directed the officers of health department to ensure availability of medicines, doctors and other staff in DHQ, THQ and all other government hospitals of the district. She also directed the officers of civil defence to complete searching and sweeping of all polling stations accompanied by special branch and police.—Bashir Ahmad Rehmani
