RAWALPINDI – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir COAS & CDF issued a stern warning against terrorism and its supporters during the 273rd Corps Commanders’ Conference at GHQ. Stressing that Pakistan will not tolerate any threats to its security, sovereignty, or national unity, he underscored that terrorists, their foreign sponsors, and any political elements seeking to destabilize the country would be dealt with decisively.
COAS highlighted armed forces’ ongoing intelligence-driven operations and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its people, territory, and national interests. The conference opened with solemn Fateha honoring martyrs of Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians who sacrificed their lives defending the country against foreign-sponsored terrorism.
Asim Munir hailed unwavering courage, professionalism, and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces, highlighting their success in sustained, intelligence-driven counter-terrorism operations across the country. He emphasized that the combined efforts of the government, military, and public support are propelling Pakistan toward stability, enhanced opportunities, and international respect.
A comprehensive review of the internal and external security landscape was conducted, with special attention to evolving threats and operational preparedness. Participants vowed to deal decisively with all terrorists backed by Indian sponsors, along with their facilitators and abettors, leaving no room for compromise.
The forum firmly rejected any links between terrorism, criminal activity, and vested political interests, warning that no attempts to undermine national unity, security, or stability would be tolerated. It also emphasized that no one would be allowed to sow discord between the Armed Forces and the people of Pakistan.
The conference appreciated Balochistan Special Development Initiatives aimed at local empowerment and addressing governance-related challenges linked to terrorism. Participants stressed the need to replicate such public-focused programs nationwide under the National Action Plan to ensure lasting peace and stability.
Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination was reaffirmed, alongside a principled stance on Palestine, calling for an immediate ceasefire, unhindered humanitarian access to Gaza, and a credible pathway to statehood.
Gen Asim directed commanders to uphold the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline, training, fitness, technological innovation, and battlefield adaptability.
