ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has ruled out talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) until the party postpones its planned Islamabad long march.
Speaking on a local private TV, Rana Sanaullah, the political advisor to PM, said the containers had been placed at various points in Islamabad as part of security arrangements, clarifying that they were parked along the roadside and that roads remained open.
He said backchannel contacts with the PTI leadership were continuing, but formal negotiations could not be held while the party’s long march plan remained in place.
Sanaullah said the PTI leadership was currently making statements about the march, but added that the situation on the ground would determine whether any actual march took place.
He said the government would not allow anyone to forcibly enter Islamabad, stressing that no one could be permitted to “storm” the federal capital.
