Environment Department Hafizabad has sealed 9 brick kilns in the district while four cases are registered against brick kilns owner to violate directions of the government.
While giving details to journalists at Hafizabad, on Saturday, Assistant Director Environment, Hafizabad, Nasim Ahmad told that government was banned on running smoke emitting brick kilns till December 31, 2020 for containing spread of smog in the Punjab but some owners of brick kilns were not closed their kilns in the district.
To ensure implementation on government policy to control pollution, mostly brick kilns were get close in the district by the department but 9 kilns were working despite giving notices which are sealed.
