Nine Armed Forces Officers Make Their Way Into Pakistans Civil Services

ISLAMABAD – Nine officers from Armed Forces have been recommended for induction into key civil service groups under CSS 2025.

Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) approved the induction of nine officers from Pakistan’s armed forces into key civil service groups after they successfully cleared the psychological assessment and viva voce stages of the CSS Competitive Examination 2025.

Officers from Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy have secured placements in three prestigious services, Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), and Foreign Service of Pakistan (FSP). Under the approved allocation, five officers will join the Pakistan Administrative Service, two will enter the Police Service of Pakistan, while two have been allocated to the Foreign Service of Pakistan.

The approved officers include Captain Syed Atiq-ur-Rehman and Captain Syed Taimoor Ali, both from the Pakistan Army, who have been allocated to the Police Service of Pakistan. Three more Army officers Captain Syed Shehryar Khan, Captain Osama Mujtaba and Captain Haider Ali have been inducted into the Pakistan Administrative Service.

Another Army officer, Captain Shiraz Ahmed, has secured a place in the Foreign Service of Pakistan. Pakistan Air Force will be represented by Flight Lieutenant Asifa Ali Masood, who has been allocated to the Foreign Service, and Flight Lieutenant Osama Ahmed, who will join the Pakistan Administrative Service.

From Navy, Lieutenant Ayaz Hussain has also been allocated to the Pakistan Administrative Service.

Officers with military backgrounds will now move into some of the country’s most influential civilian administrative, policing and diplomatic roles through the competitive CSS process.
