LAHORE – The Environment Protection & Climate Change Department of Punjab has updated the schedule for free vehicle emission testing at 20 different locations across Lahore under the Punjab Transport Company (PTC) initiative.

This step is part of efforts to curb pollution and promote eco-friendly transportation across the province. The government has set up booths at 20 different locations in Lahore to facilitate citizens.

Emission Testing Time Schedule Update

Mobile emission testing units will now be operational weekly from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a lunch break between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM.

These units will be stationed at various public places including Metro Police Training Station, Wahdat Road, Liberty Market, Jail Road, and Shalimar Garden, among others.

Additional sites include Rescue 1122, Expo Centre, Jalopark Parking, and Punjab University’s various campuses. The initiative also covers key community hubs such as markets, colleges, and police checkpoints to ensure accessibility for the public.

The department emphasized that more mobile units will soon be deployed along motorways and highways. Citizens are encouraged to cooperate and get their vehicles tested as part of the government’s commitment to improving air quality and public health.
