ISLAMABAD – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has announced the launch of an evening shift for consular services at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aiming to make public services more accessible and convenient for citizens.
In a post on social media platform X, Ishaq Dar said the initiative was introduced as part of the government’s efforts to improve public service delivery.
“As part of our commitment to improving public service delivery, I am pleased to announce the launch of an Evening Shift for Consular Services at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” Dar wrote.

Under the revised schedule, citizens will now be able to access consular services from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Monday to Friday.
The foreign minister said the extended timings would help make services “more accessible, convenient, and efficient” for people who require assistance from the ministry.
What Are the Consular Services?
Consular services generally include assistance related to official document verification, attestations, certifications, and other services provided by foreign affairs authorities for citizens. These services are often required for education, employment, travel, business, and legal purposes, both within Pakistan and abroad.
The ministry has also issued a public notice containing details of the updated service timings. The introduction of the evening shift is expected to provide citizens with greater flexibility by allowing them to visit offices outside traditional working hours.
