LAHORE – The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) has officially announced a revised Scheme of Studies for both Humanities and Science groups at the Matric/Secondary School Level (Grades 9-10).
The updated curriculum structure will be implemented starting from the academic session 2025–26.
According to the notification, this decision partially modifies an earlier notification issued on December 26, 2024. The new Scheme of Studies was approved during the 121st meeting of the PCTB Board of Governors held on December 3, 2024.
The revised schemes, attached as Annex-A for Humanities and Annex-B for Science, have been developed under the authority granted by Section 9(3)(c) of the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board Act, 2015.
The updated framework aims to enhance educational standards and align academic content with evolving educational needs. Schools, teachers, and institutions across Punjab have been instructed to prepare for the implementation of these changes in the upcoming academic session.
The PCTB is expected to provide further guidance and materials to facilitate a smooth transition to the revised curriculum.
