The new Permanent Representative of the Republic of Türkiye to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ambassador CenkUraz, presented his Letters of Credence to OIC Secretary-General, Mr. HisseinBrahimTaha, on Sunday, 17 March 2024.
During the meeting that followed, the Secretary-General congratulated the Permanent Representative on his appointment and expressed appreciation for Türkiye’s role and leadership in advancing the ideals of the OIC.
The Permanent Representative commended the Secretary-General’s important mandate in promoting Joint Islamic Action, and assured the close cooperation of the Republic of Türkiye towards achieving the lofty goals of the OIC Charter.
Both sides exchanged views on major issues on the agenda of the OIC and other matters of common interest.—PR
