In a significant development, the South Waziristan Department of Agricultural Extension has successfully installed and put into operation an advanced olive oil extraction machine at Agri Park Wana.
This innovative initiative will have far-reaching benefits for the region’s farmers, eliminating the need to travel to Peshawar for oil extraction. Dr. Muhammad Anwar Bettani, the Director of Agriculture for South Waziristan, shared his insights with local media, highlighting the objectives of the ongoing olive promotion program within the merged scheme. The project aims to establish olive groves spanning a vast 2800 acres in South Waziristan, encompassing Sub-divisions Jandola and Darazinda. Notably, the team has already planted 322 acres of high-quality olive groves and gardens.
