The Karachi Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry Malir (KWCCI Malir) has successfully concluded its 2024-26 elections, electing Tasneem Hamid as President, ShizaFarooqui as Senior Vice President, and MehwishKiyani as Vice President. The oath-taking ceremony took place at a local hotel, with Founder President NazliAbidNisar, a former Vice President of FPCCI, administering the oath to the newly elected officials and the 15 members of the Executive Committee.

Event was attended by key personalities, including KWCCI Malir’s Patron-in-Chief AbidNisar, Chairperson of the SAARC Women Chamber HinaMansab Khan, along with dermatologists, former FPCCI officials, and parliamentary representatives. During the Annual General Meeting, the attendees approved the annual accounts and assigned responsibilities to the new leadership. NazliAbidNisar, who also serves as the Convener of FPCCI’s Women Entrepreneur Committee, reflected on the chamber’s accomplishments, stressing its ongoing role in advocating for women entrepreneurs. She highlighted her efforts over the past 12 years, which included initiatives such as ‘Support A Mom’ aimed at empowering women.

KWCCI Malir has consistently supported women by organizing exhibitions and training sessions for female entrepreneurs. She also pointed to Hazrat Khadija (RA) as a powerful role model for women, urging continued backing for female-led ventures. HinaMansab Khan praised NazliAbid for her dedication, noting that the chamber’s progress is the result of years of hard work. She urged the government to provide financial support for cottage industries and exhibitions through easy-term loans. Patron-in-Chief AbidNisar applauded the efforts of women entrepreneurs and called for more effective utilization of government loans by these businesswomen. He also requested the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to simplify the loan application process for women entrepreneurs.

ShabbirMansha, former VP of FPCCI, asked Parliamentary Secretary Yusuf Baloch to discuss the allocation of land for KWCCI Malir’s office with the Sindh government, while encouraging commercial banks to prioritize loans for women entrepreneurs. Yusuf Baloch assured his commitment to advocating for land allocation and support for female entrepreneurs.
