The newly-appointed chief justice of Lahore High Court, Justice Ameer Bhatti has removed the LHC registrar in his very first order after assuming his office.
With his first stroke of pen as Chief Justice of LHC on Tuesday, Justice Bhatti replaced LHC registrar Mushtaq Ojla and appointed Irfan Saeed as the new registrar of the provincial high court.
Mr Saeed was working as district and sessions judge before his appointment as LHC registrar.
With the new chief justice on LCH saddle, there were other appointments and transfers in the high court.
Muhammad Yawar Walana has been appointed as PSO to Chief Justice High Court. Muhammad Arshad Masood has been given the charge of DG District Judiciary High Court. Abdul Rashid has been appointed as Sessions Judge Human Resource.
Earlier, the ministry of law and justice had issued a notification regarding the appointment of Justice Bhatti as the LHC chief justice.
Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti was appointed the LHC’s additional judge in May 2011. He will retire as the chief
justice in March 2024.
