Calling for greater awareness, early detection and timely treatment of breast cancer, Ms. Rita Dhital, Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan, joined Maroof International Hospital (MIH) in launching a three-month Breast Cancer and Mental Health Awareness Campaign, alongside a Cancer Support Group to promote patient well-being and emotional support.
Running from 1 October to 31 December 2026, the campaign is being conducted under the Maroof Community Support Program, with a focus on women’s health, preventive healthcare, early detection and the psychological well-being of patients and their families.
Addressing the awareness session as Chief Guest, Ambassador Rita Dhital appreciated MIH’s efforts to promote breast cancer awareness and encouraged greater attention to preventive healthcare. She emphasized the importance of timely screening, informed health choices and collective efforts to ensure that women have access to awareness and appropriate medical care.
Announcing the Cancer Support Group Project, Mr. Haroon Naseer, CEO of Maroof International Hospital, reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to strengthening cancer care services and facilitating access to comprehensive support for patients. The proposed project reflects MIH’s continued efforts to expand its healthcare initiatives and respond to the needs of patients and their families.
