A visiting Tanzanian business delegation has said that the establishment of a Tanzanian embassy is essential for boosting trade with Pakistan. They added that on return they would demand it from the Tanzanian government. “Tanzania is rich in natural flora and there are numerous opportunities for Pakistani industrialists.”
These views were expressed during a visit by the Tanzanian delegation, led by Mr. Paul Koyi, President of the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, to the site of the HMR Group’s Waterfront Project on Sea View recently. Other members of the delegation included Pelli Mkaka Maklinenge, Maryam Said Rashid and Charles Chavalla. Chairman HMR Group, prominent business and social personality Haji Muhammad Rafiq Perdesi and Director Hasnain Perdesi had hosted a dinner in honour of the visiting guests.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Koyi paid tribute to Haji Muhammad Rafiq Pardesi and Hasnain Pardesi for their efforts in promoting business relations between Pakistan and Tanzania. “Pakistani products are very popular in Tanzania because of their good quality and beauty. Pakistani industrialists and traders should turn to Tanzania,” he said. The Tanzanian Chamber President said that his country is rich in natural plants and other resources and also invited Pakistani businessmen to visit there and explore investment potentials. Haji Muhammad Rafiq Perdesi, Hasnain Perdesi and Iftikhar Shallwani also presented commemorative shields to the delegation members on the occasion.
