After heavy rainfall on Friday, Karachi’s National Stadium faced flooding, including Gate No. 12, amidst ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 matches.

The inundation caused inconvenience and raised concerns, as the city’s drainage system struggled to handle the deluge. Despite efforts to clear the gates and drains, the intensity of the rainfall worsened the situation, turning roads into ponds and disrupting traffic flow.

In response to the challenges posed by the rainfall, the Sindh government deployed a rain emergency team to the National Stadium, aiming to facilitate the hosting of PSL matches and ensure necessary arrangements are in place to manage the impact of the rain effectively.

With Karachi Kings scheduled to host Multan Sultans at the stadium on March 3rd, urgency is added to the efforts to address the aftermath of the heavy rainfall. The match holds significance as Shaan Masood’s team aims to bounce back after a defeat to Quetta Gladiators.
