General Provident Funds Profit Rate Reduced To 12 46pc Lowest In Three Years

ISLAMABAD – The National Savings Centres offers different profit rates for the Sarwa Islamic Term Account (SITA) depending on the investment period.

The revised rates are effective from July 18, 2026, and remain applicable until further notice.

The Central Directorate of National Savings offers SITA under its Islamic window, named as Rafa National Savings (RNS).

RNS is being established to offer Sharia Compliant savings solutions to the public, thereby promoting interest (Riba) free savings and investments opportunities.

Rafa National Savings is a separate and independent Islamic window of CDNS. It works under the guidance of Shariah board lead by esteemed and renowned members and governed by a robust Sharia governance framework.

The Sarwa Islamic Term Account is listed under three investment options: a one-year term, a three-year term and a five-year term.

SITA Profit Rate

Under the latest rates, the one-year SITA carries an annual profit rate of 11.10%. For an investment of Rs100,000, the stated profit amount is Rs1,110.

The three-year SITA, with profit calculated on a bi-annual basis, offers a rate of 11.50% per annum. An investment of Rs100,000 is shown to generate Rs5,750 in profit under the provided figures.

Meanwhile, the five-year SITA, with monthly profit payments, carries an annual rate of 11.52%. The stated profit on an investment of Rs100,000 is Rs960.

The rates and profit figures provided apply to the respective investment periods and payment structures. The latest schedule shows the five-year option carrying the highest annual rate among the three categories at 11.52%.
