National Savings Profit Rates Go By Up To 2 20 Check New Returns

KARACHI – Pakistani government revised the increase in profit rates for National Savings schemes, providing improved returns for investors across different savings instruments. The revision includes an overall increase of 1% to 2.20%, effective from May 26.

The revised profit rates are expected to benefit investors seeking stable, fixed-income opportunities. With improved returns across key savings instruments, National Savings schemes continue to remain a popular choice for low-risk investment in the country.

New Profit Rates

Profit rates across various National Savings schemes have been increased by 1% to 2.20%. The revised rates will come into effect from May 26.

Special Savings Schemes 11.6%
Regular Income Certificates 11.82%
Bahbood and Pension Schemes 12% (unchanged)

Earlier, the government also revised returns on Bahbood Savings Certificates linked with investments up to Rs 200,000, setting the profit rate at 12.96%.

Monthly Profit

  • An investment of Rs 100,000 generates around Rs 1,080 per month
  • An investment of Rs 200,000 generates around Rs 2,160 per month
