National Savings Schemes Profit Rates Down By To 2pc Check New Rates Here

ISLAMABAD – The federal government has announced revisions in profit rates on various National Savings Schemes, effective from November 4, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.

The Special Savings Certificate rate has been raised to 11.60 percent, while the Regular Income Certificate will now offer a 10.92 percent return.

The notification states that profit rates on Short-Term Savings Certificates have also been increased. The three-month return has been set at 10.44 percent, and the one-year certificate will now yield 10.64 percent.

However, the Defense Savings Certificate has seen a notable reduction in its profit rate. Similarly, the Bahbood Savings Certificate rate has been cut from 13.44 percent to 12.72 percent.

The Pensioners’ Benefit Account will now offer a 12.72 percent return, while the Shuhada Family Welfare Account profit rate has been reduced by 0.72 percent.

Meanwhile, the Savings Account rate remains unchanged at 9.50 percent.

The Sarwa Islamic Term Account has seen an increase in the three- and five-year profit categories, whereas the one-year Sarwa Islamic Account remains steady at 9.92 percent. No changes have been made to the Sarwa Islamic Savings Account.
