National Resilience Day was observed in the district Hafizabad to express solidarity with the victims of 2005 earthquake. The earthquake claimed thousands of lives besides causing massive damage to infrastructure especially in Azad Kashmir and Hazara division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In this connection, a walk held at district complex led by Deputy Commissioner Umer Farooq Warriach. ADCR Imtiaz Ali Baig, District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Engineer Muhammad Adnan Nawaz, teachers, students, rescue employees and other people belongs to different segments of society participated the walk.
The participants of walk were carrying banners and placards inscribed with preventive measures in case of natural disaster and other accidents. Addressing the participants of the walk, DC said we come together to show our solidarity and compassion for families who have endured the devastating effects of unprecedented natural disasters and to offer prayers for their forgiveness and salvation
He said that Pakistan was facing multiple global challenges including flood, earthquake and natural disaster which was harm to human and financial lose of people, therefore, students and youth should first aid.
