Provincial Minister for Development, Planning and Energy, Syed NasirHussain Shah, issued a stern warning to officials over delays in completing ongoing development schemes. During a high-level meeting at his office, Shah expressed his frustration with the lack of progress and emphasized that strict departmental action would be taken against officers failing to meet project deadlines. The meeting, attended by Chairman P&D Najam Ahmad Shah, Special Secretary P&D Zubair Ahmed Chana, and other senior officials, focused on reviewing the status of various development projects.

Nasir Shah stressed the importance of completing all projects within the set time frame and maintaining quality standards. He emphasized that delays not only escalate costs but also inconvenience the public and result in financial losses. Nasir Shah reiterated his commitment to supporting diligent officers and encouraged them to reach out for assistance if needed.

He highlighted the government’s priority to complete existing projects rather than sanction new ones, in line with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision to provide maximum relief to the people. The minister also announced plans to visit completed projects alongside the P&D Chairman, underscoring the importance of ensuring quality and timely completion. He assured that any obstacles, including budgetary constraints, would be addressed to expedite project completion.

The meeting covered various projects, including rural development, model villages, and SFERP schemes, with an emphasis on meeting all legal requirements and ensuring successful outcomes. Discussions also included the coordination and stabilization of the underground parking system near shopping centers like Zainab Market, as well as the development of mechanisms for revenue collection and maintenance.

The involvement of local communities in the PPRP project and the consideration of low-price housing schemes were also highlighted as essential components for increasing project ownership and success. Chairman P&D Najam Shah provided a comprehensive briefing on the ongoing projects, detailing the steps being taken to ensure their timely and quality completion. The minister emphasized the need for proper feasibility studies and the inclusion of local and political figures to foster a sense of ownership and collaboration in the projects.
