Sindh Minister for Information & Local Syed Nasir Hussain Shah attended national day celebration of Russia as Chief Guest arranged by ambassador magazine. ArtemOrlov, Consul General of Russia in Karachi.
Nikolay Poltavsky, Vice Consul General and Pavel YamanovAttache , Tariq Khattak Coordinator to Sindh Minister Local Government, PirAman Justice of Peace District South and other dignitaries also attended the Russian National Day celebration.
Addressing the ceremony, Nasir Hussain Shah said that indeed it was an honour him to be part of National Day celebration of great friendly country Russia.
‘Despite of extra ordinary heavy working schedule, he could not keep himself away from celebration of Russian national day,’ he said and recalled that the founding leader of Pakistan People’s Party Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had emphasized very much on friendly relationship with Russia and during his life time he kept on working to promote friendly ties .
He said that now it is a duty of our generation and generations to come to contribute their share of endeavors for promoting ties between the two countries.
He said: as they strongly believe in pleasant, healthy and friendly environment is necessary for diverting energies towards progress and nothing should come in between as hurdle in cementing relationship between Pakistan and Russia.
The minister hoped that coming visit of Russian President Veladimir Putin would play very much positive role in support of our mission of promoting relationship between our two countries. On the occasion, the chief guest along with other dignitaries cut the cake on the national day of Russia.
