DUBLIN – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi engaged in a pivotal meeting with Ireland Cricket Chairman Brian Mac Neice in Dublin.
During the meeting, Chairman Naqvi was warmly welcomed by his counterpart Chairman Mac Neice, who expressed deep appreciation for the visit to Ireland.
Chairman Mac Neice presented Chairman Naqvi with a token of appreciation in the form of the Ireland team’s shirt and cap, symbolizing the spirit of collaboration and friendship between the two cricketing nations.
The discussions encompassed various aspects including upcoming women’s cricket series, with both parties reaching a consensus on the importance of promoting women’s cricket through bilateral engagements.
Looking ahead, it was announced that Ireland’s cricket team is scheduled to tour Pakistan in August-September next year, further solidifying the bilateral cricketing relationship.
Besides it, Chairman Naqvi affirmed plans to review the tour of Pakistan’s women’s cricket team to Ireland in the near future.
Furthermore, the decision to host the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan was met with enthusiasm, with Chairman Naqvi expressing satisfaction at the prospect.
