Naqvi announces financial aid for injured polio worker

Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi announced financial assistance for the injured polio worker who was shot accidentally during duty in Khushab. The CM stated that the Punjab government would provide Rs 2 million in financial aid to the injured polio worker, Shahnaz Abdul Hameed.

The decision was made during the 28th cabinet meeting held in Rawalpindi. Shahnaz Abdul Hameed, who was severely injured when shots were fired accidentally during her duty in Khushab, is now in stable condition after a successful operation at Jinnah Hospital Lahore. Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi had chaired a meeting at his office to review the steps taken for the protection of life and property of the people in the province.

It was decided that stringent action would be taken against those inciting violence in the name of religion and every possible step will be taken to stop the financing of such elements. Additionally, individuals aiding wrongdoers will face intensified scrutiny, with no exceptions for those operating outside the bounds of the law.
