LAHORE – The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued an important advisory to citizens, urging them to collect their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) from NADRA offices on time.
The authority emphasized that failure to do so could result in complications.
The registration authority said once a citizen submits their CNIC application, it is crucial to collect the ID card before the deadline passes.
ID Card Collection Policy
As per the updated policy, if the CNIC is not collected within three months of the designated delivery date, it will be permanently discarded. In such cases, individuals will have to reapply for a new card and pay the requisite fees.
NADRA also encouraged applicants to use the Pakistan ID Mobile App or opt for the home delivery service when applying for their CNIC.
This way, citizens can have their ID cards delivered directly to their addresses, eliminating the need to visit the NADRA office.

The authority has outlined the processing fees and timelines for obtaining a new Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) in Pakistan, offering three distinct services based on urgency.
For those applying for a new CNIC (fresh), the normal service remains free of charge and takes 15 days for processing.
Applicants opting for urgent service will incur a fee of Rs1,150, with the application processed within 12 days.
Those requiring an executive service can avail of the application process for Rs2,150, with the CNIC issued within just 6 days.
