ISLAMABAD – The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) offers a streamlined process for obtaining a Family Registration Certificate (FRC).
The FRC is an official document that outlines family composition based on NADRA’s records and is often required for embassy-related matters.
While the FRC is not a legal document, it plays a significant role in verifying family structures for official and immigration purposes.
FRC Types
Applicants may obtain an FRC under three distinct categories:
By Birth
It is also called Alpha in Nadra’s official language and it includes information about parents and siblings.
By Marriage
It is also called Beta and it displays details of spouse and children.
By Adoption
It is called Gamma and it shows guardian and adopted family members.
To apply, all relevant family members must be registered with NADRA and hold valid 13-digit CNIC or B-Form numbers.

Processing Time
At NRCs, the certificate is issued in real-time during the visit while a PDF copy is emailed within 24 hours when it is applied via Pak Identity App.
FRC Fees
The NADRA fees for all types of FRC stands at Rs1,000. However, it will be double if you want to obtain FRC by birth and by marriage on same document.
