Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, the spokesman to the Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned the raid on the residence of opposition leader in the national assembly Shahbaz Sharif by the NAB.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Senator Khokhar said that NAB’s action is not only condemnable but also an act of victimization.
He said that the federal ministers had been issuing statements that after Eid several politicians will be arrested. If NAB is free then why it does not act on sugar and wheat crisis and BRT scandal.
The spokesman to Chairman PPP said that the country is engulfed in Covid-19 and locust issue and the government is targeting opposition.
He said that recent report says that 670000 people are Covid-19 positive in Lahore. PM Imran Khan regards Covid-19 only a flue and governor Sindh calls lockdown a fashion.
If over 6 percent people in Lahore are Covid-19 then other big cities have to be the same.
It seems that the federal government is going towards herd immunity, why Imran Khan is following the countries where thousands of people have already died of Covid-19, Senator Khokhar asked.—INP
