National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi has returned properties valued at 128 million to the Federal Board of Revenue. This action follows the conviction of a senior Sales Tax Auditor in Karachi for accumulating assets beyond his known income. The Sindh High Court had sentenced the accused to imprisonment, along with a fine of Rs 14.2 million and the forfeiture of his properties. In line with the court’s ruling, the DG of NAB Karachi handed over the three confiscated properties to the Chief Commissioner of Inland Revenue Large Taxpayers Unit, FBR Karachi.
