ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday filed a new Toshakhana reference against the founder of PTI Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
The reference was submitted to the accountability court by NAB’s investigative officer Mohsin Haroon and case officer Waqar-ul-Hassan.
The reference consisted of two volumes.
According to the sources, the registrar of the accountability court will review the new Toshakhana reference submitted by NAB. After addressing any objections, the reference will be sent to the administrative judge of the accountability court, who will then decide whether to hear the case personally or transfer it to another court.
Administrative Judge Nasir Javed Rana is already hearing the £190 million reference.
NAB had interrogated Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi at Adiala Jail, both of whom were arrested on July 13 and remained in NAB custody for 37 days for questioning.
NAB had also provided a questionnaire to both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, who submitted their responses. After the investigation was completed, on August 19, the founder of PTI and Bushra Bibi were sent to judicial custody.
