Central Information Secretary Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamrntarinans and the member of the National Assembly Shazia Atta Marri has said that the ruling government’s decision regarding to extend the tenure of Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB), retired Justice Javed Iqbal through a presidential ordinance is tantamount to distorting the constitution and law of the country.
The term of service of the NAB chairman is four years and cannot be extended through law.
She added that present PTI’s government wants to breach the law by keeping the current NAB chairman incumbent. Shazia Marri expressed this in statement issued hereon today.
