National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs has highly appreciated the Foreign Policy of the present government on Afghan issue as the world had started to realize the sacrifices and sincere efforts of Pakistan to bring peace in Afghanistan.
Chairman NA Body on Foreign Affairs, MNA Malik Muhammad Ehsan Ullah Tiwana chaired the meeting held in Parliament House on Wednesday to discuss the Foreign Policy on Afghan issue.
Highly appreciating the incumbent government’s Foreign Policy on Afghanistan, the Committee urged upon the need for early formulation of Afghan government to avoid ambiguity among the masses of Afghanistan and to negate the chances of their massive movement.
It also lauded the establishment of Special Cell in M/o Interior to evacuate the people especially Foreigners from Afghanistan and they were able to evacuate 4571 persons so far.
Moreover, Pakistan would resume PIA Flights from Pakistan to Kabul to evacuate maximum people from Afghanistan.
The Committee also appreciated the current visit of Foreign Minister of Pakistan to neighboring countries to build a mutual consensus on Afghan issue in order to extend due support for formulation of Afghan government which would be acceptable to all Afghanis to negate the chances of civil war in Afghanistan.
The NA Body commended the recent announcement of Afghan Taliban that they would not allow to use their soil against any country.
Moreover, the Committee appreciated the general amnesty of Taliban for Afghanis and allowing them especially women to restart their routine life which is a good gesture and appreciated at all forums.
