The protest organized by Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) continued for the third day at Numaish Chowrangi, with various organizations, scholars, and prominent figures from the Shia Muslim community expressing solidarity with the participants. Key figures such as Allama Hassan Zafer Naqvi, Allama Sadiq Taqvi, Allama Mukhtar Imami, Allama Reza Jafari, Allama Mubashir Hassan, and renowned Noha Khwan Mir Hassan Mir addressed the crowd, highlighting their demands for justice.
In his address, Allama Hassan Zafer Naqvi emphasized that despite the severe cold, the protest, which includes women, children, and the elderly, remains peaceful. He referred to past national protests against injustice, particularly for the Hazara community, where no public property was harmed. He further stated that the face of terrorism in the country has been clear, pointing to incidents like the tragedies in Hazara Town, Parachinar, Gilgit-Baltistan, Karachi’s Hazrat Ali Raza Mosque, Nishapur Park, Ashura, Arbaeen, and the Army Public School. Allama Zafer Naqvi declared that they will continue protesting until justice is achieved, and called out the destructive role of extremism and incompetent politicians in harming the nation.
He reinforced that the Shia community, like all patriotic Pakistanis, doesn’t need certificates from political parties or bureaucrats, as their ancestors have sacrificed their blood for the country’s prosperity. Allama Zafer Naqvi also highlighted the heavy toll on the community, with thousands of doctors, engineers, businessmen, scholars, and leaders targeted by terrorism.
