Pakistani community leader, lobbyist, IT expert and chairman of the Muslim Council of America Rana Zaman Saeed has met separately with Democratic Senator Dick Durban, members of Congress Bobby Rush, Bill Foster and Chicago’s Democratic candidate for Mayor Jackie Trayner .
Rana Zaman Saeed gave various suggestions to the Democratic leaders to warm up the relations between Pakistan and the United States and demanded that the Democratic leaders use their influence on the Biden administration to restore Pakistan’s military, economic aid and remove Pakistan from the FATAF gray list.
Rana Zaman Saeed said the new US administration needs to create a balance in its relations with Pakistan and India and dispel the perception that India is its blue eyied .
He said that Pakistan has been the most important ally of the United States in the region for decades and has made tremendous sacrifices in the war on terror.
A strong Pakistan is essential for complete eradication of terrorism and peace and stability in the region.
The chairman of the Muslim Council of America said We campaigned hard for Democrats from the One Million Muslim Vote for Biden platform and played a key role in President Biden’s success.
It is now the Biden administration’s responsibility to address the issues facing the Muslim community in the United States and around the world.
Rana zaman praised the Biden administration’s efforts to lift the ban on entry to the United States for citizens of seven Muslim countries and to relax immigration laws, and hoped that legislation would be enacted to fully overhaul immigration policy.
On this occasion, he announced his full support for the Democratic candidate for mayor of Chicago Jackie Traynere and announced her campaign from the platform of Muslim Council of America in the Muslim and Pakistani communities.
Democrat leaders assured that they would lobby for Pakistan and convey the concerns of the Pakistani and Muslim communities to the Biden administration.
